श्रीभगवानुवाच।
कुतस्त्वा कश्मलमिदं विषमे समुपस्तितम्।
अनार्यजुष्टमस्वर्ग्यमकीर्तिकरमर्जुन।।२-२।।
सन्धि विग्रहः
श्रीभगवान् उवाच।
कुतः त्वा कश्मलम् इदम् विषमे समुपस्तितम्।
अनार्य-जुष्टम् अस्वर्ग्यम् अकीर्तिकरम् अर्जुन।।२-२।।
श्लोकार्थः
श्रीभगवान् उवाच।
हे अर्जुन! अनार्य-जुष्टम् अस्वर्ग्यम् अकीर्तिकरम्
इदम् कश्मलम् विषमे त्वा कुतः समुपस्तितम्।
शब्दार्थः
श्रीभगवान् उवाच।
2.2 कुतः=wherefrom त्वा=unto you कश्मलम्=dirtiness इदम्=this lamentation विषमे=in this hour of crisisसमुपस्तितम्=arrived अनार्य=persons who do not know the value of life जुष्टम्=practiced byअस्वर्ग्यम्=which does not lead to higher planets अकीर्तिकरम्=infamy अर्जुन=O Arjuna
Meaning
2.2: Sri Bhagavan said to Arjuna where this filth (kasmalam) came from at this hour of crisis which is Unaryan practice and which would not lead him to heaven but to infamy.
