श्लोकः
अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम्।
जीवभूतां महाबाहो ययेदं धार्यते जगत्।।७-५।।
सन्धि विग्रहः
अपरा इयम् इतः तु अन्याम् प्रकृतिम् विद्धि मे पराम्।
जीव-भूताम् महाबाहो यया इदम् धार्यते जगत्।।७-५।।
श्लोकार्थः
हे महाबाहो! इयम् अपरा (प्रकृतिः अस्ति) इतः तु अन्याम्
जीव-भूताम् मे पराम् प्रकृतिम् विद्धि, यया इदम् जगत् धार्यते।
शब्दार्थः
7.5 अपरा=inferior इयम्=this इतः=besides this तु=but अन्याम्=another प्रकृतिम्=energy विद्धि=just try to understand मे=my पराम्=superior जीव-भूताम्=compresing the living entities महाबाहो=O mighty-armed one यया=by whom इदम्=this धार्यते=is utilized or exploited जगत्=the material world
Meaning
7.5: Besides this lower prakriti, understand My other higher nature, O Mighty-armed one, the Life-Being (Jīva-Bhūta or Purusa) which sustains this universe (jagat).
