शूक्लकृष्णे गती ह्येते जगतः शाश्वते मते।

शुक्ल-कृष्णे गती हिते जगतः शाश्वते मते।
एकया याति अनावृत्तिम् अन्यया आवर्तते पुनः।।८-२६।।

जगतः एते हे शुक्ल-कृष्णे गती शाश्वते मते।
एकया अनावृत्तिम् याति अन्यया पुनः आवर्तते।

Meaning
8.26: Light and darkness [knowledge and ignorance] are the two eternal paths of this world. By (the former) one, he goes, not to return; by (the latter) the other, he returns (again).
