intellect increases

यः पठति लिखति पश्यति
परिपृच्छति पंडितान् उपाश्रयति।
तस्य दिवाकरकिरणैः नलिनी
दलं इव विस्तारिता बुद्धिः॥
भावार्थ - जो व्यक्ति जिज्ञासु होता है, पढ़ता है, लिखता है, देखता है, प्रश्न पूछता है, बुद्धिमानों का आश्रय लेता है, उसकी बुद्धि उसी प्रकार बढ़ती है जैसे कि सूर्य की किरणों से कमल की पंखुड़ियाँ ।
The person who is curious, reads, writes, sees, asks questions, takes the shelter of the wise, his intellect increases as if the lotus petals from the sun rays.
